The faucets: where gold comes from
Three sources pay gold, and they are wildly unequal:
- Every kill. Each enemy ships its own gold amount in the data — a Slime drops 2, but gold scales with chapter: Voidlord pays the most — 719.9K per kill. With 158 gold-bearing monsters, income rises as fast as you push. The four best payers, linked into their Bestiary entries:
- Tower first-clears. The Challenge Tower pays a one-time reward per floor, on a staircase the whole curve below shows — the final floor alone pays more than all 93 floors before it combined.
- Player levels. Small, steady, guaranteed: level-up rewards drip gold every handful of levels while you accumulate XP anyway.
The tower ladder, sampled straight from the first-clear table:
| Floor | First-clear gold | vs floor 1 |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 60 | ×1 |
| 10 | 1,134 | ×19 |
| 50 | 32,272 | ×538 |
| 100 | 1,331,790 | ×22,196 |
| 150 | 15,360,354 | ×256,006 |
| 200 | 18,432,424 | ×307,207 |
| 250 | 22,118,909 | ×368,648 |
Per-enemy kill gold, top of the table (all linked into the Bestiary):
| Monster | Gold per kill |
|---|---|
| Voidlord | 719,880 |
| Abyss Lord | 685,679 |
| Revenant | 653,134 |
| Orclord | 622,137 |
That scaling is the whole story of gold in XP Hero. The same 30-second run that paid 60 at floor 1 pays 22,118,909 at floor 250. Grinding at your ceiling beats grinding anywhere behind you — the tables price it that way on purpose.
The sinks: what gold actually buys
You're not saving up for nothing. The data prices every gold sink, and they are extremely unequal too:
| Sink | Levels | Total gold to max | Final level |
|---|---|---|---|
| Triple Attack | 21 | 714,841,183 | 88,342,070 |
| Hp Recovery | 59 | 349,964,104 | 33,792,778 |
| Cargo | 59 | 200,423,920 | 19,200,442 |
| Hp | 59 | 177,184,132 | 16,896,389 |
| Power | 60 | 176,414,663 | 16,896,389 |
| Attack Speed | 34 | 119,302,314 | 13,251,311 |
| Move Speed | 36 | 99,418,469 | 11,042,759 |
| Critical Chance | 11 | 2,713,011 | 1,091,761 |
| Double Attack | 7 | 137,160 | 30,820 |
| Critical Damage | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| Grand total: 1,840,398,956 gold — 1.84B | |||
Abilities are the gold pit. Just 714.84M for
Triple Attack — with its final level alone costing
88,342,070. The next-biggest ladder (Hp Recovery)
wants another 349.96M. Everything else you'll ever buy
is rounding error:
· Buildings: maxing all 26 (Bonfire to Portal) costs
573,580 total.
· Smithy craft rolls: the gold cost ladder runs just 100 →
3,000 per roll. Ideas about "saving gold for the
smithy" misunderstand what costs gold.
So the practical gold plan is simple: everything goes into your ability ladders, split between the ones your team actually uses. A level of Triple Attack at the bottom is pocket change; that same number is invisible next to the late ladder.
Where to farm, stage by stage
- First hours: campaign kills pay real gold early — and Treasure Goblin hunts are the first cheat code: 1,000 gold flat per goblin, 500× a Slime kill. Kill every one you see spawn.
- Mid game: keep pushing chapters, not re-farming waves behind you. Kill gold per enemy rises chapter by chapter — the tables already assume you're fighting the next tier.
- Endgame: the Challenge Tower. One new floor cleared = more gold than hours of wave-grinding lower down, and the first-clear staircase is how this game pays its 2.25B ladder. Tower push and gold farm are the same activity here.
- Never sit in a "good farming stage" re-running waves for gold — the curve prices stalling out of value almost immediately.
The richest faucet: the subscription perk
The game's strings name the perk exactly: "Extra Gold +{0}%" — the
Privilege Card's gold multiplier on everything above. What the data can
tell you: the perk exists and stacks on every faucet (kills, tower,
level-ups), all of which already scale with progress. What it can't: the
exact +X% — the number is a runtime placeholder, filled by
code no extraction can read. We decoded the whole offer in the
26.2.0
write-up.
The one-line rules
- Push > grind. Income is priced to your frontier, never to your comfort zone.
- Gold buys abilities. Buildings are 573,580 total; abilities are 1.84B. Budget accordingly.
- Never skip Treasure Goblin. 1,000 gold is 500 Slimes politely waiting in a hurry.
- Don't stall. The first-clear staircase means every floor you climb once pays forever after this guide's tables.
Data from challenge_tower.json (first-clear rewards), progression.json (ability cost ladders, buildings), bestiary.json (per-enemy kill gold), AbilityLevelUpCostInfo / LevelUpData_Smithy tables and the game locale (game v26.2.0), extracted from the APK; totals cross-checked against the raw tables at build time. Where-to-farm calls and "push > grind" are editorial — the tables price the economy, they don't play it. XP Hero is developed by Supercent — XPHero Fans is unofficial, not affiliated with or endorsed by them, and the tier calls are editorial opinion, not game data.
